You can see from the diagram just how much time and movement has been reduced from the process.

But there is more that can be achieved. The new diagram can provide clues as to how the process can be refined further in the next phase, which is Shine.

Ask the same three people who carried out the earlier activity using the spaghetti diagram and activity sheet to gather the equipment from the list again.

In this example you can see that by organising the space the time taken to gather the equipment reduced to 25 seconds. A saving of 55 seconds each time this common procedure is performed.
